THORNTON musician Troy Kemp (pictured) and his collaborator Drew McAlister have cashed in this year, lining up a tour for next year and a generous deal with Adam Brand's management Crossroads Touring Co.

Kemp and McAlister supported Brand at the Hexham Bowling Club in October, which led to the pair being asked to go on his national tour in 2009.

Also as a part of the deal they recorded their own single Blue Collar Night, which is due to be released this month.

Kemp has also recently released his own single Throwaway Day.

It was a touring tribute show to country music legend Johnny Cash earlier this year that started the partnership with McAlister and Kemp. The pair were cast together in the show, but it was the downtime between the gigs that got the two jamming and writing their own songs together.

The pair will launch themselves as McAlister Kemp at next month's Tamworth Country Music Festival.
